FACES OF ALS™ Gallery – ALS Awareness Month 2019: RICH LIEBERMAN, from Greenwich, CT On May 31, 2019May 31, 2019 By Rich LiebermanIn Uncategorized Instagram post from AlLS One View this post on Instagram FACES OF ALS™ Gallery – ALS Awareness Month 2019: RICH LIEBERMAN, from Greenwich, CT . Rich Lieberman is a devoted husband and the caring father of two beautiful young adults, Ryan & Lindsey. He is also a son, a brother, an uncle, and an incredible friend and mentor to so many. Rich is the world to me and our children. Our world came crashing down in 2016 when Rich was diagnosed with ALS. . He has been a strong and dedicated warrior and advocate. He helps other ALS patients, he blogs, he held a Rock for Rich fundraiser last year, he was interviewed for a news show about how he is using the power of music to bring awareness to ALS, he has spoken to classrooms full of OT students and social work students about living with ALS, and so much more… and he battles on – most of the time with a positive attitude and a smile on his face. . Here’s an excerpt from Rich’s Blog shortly after diagnosis: “Having ALS has allowed me to slow down and spend more time with my family. I’m still doing so many of the things I like to do, going out to see live music is a big one. Reconnecting with friends both old and new. My priorities have changed somewhat in that I realize the value of relationships more than ever before. ALS may limit my activity but it can never take away the love of my family and friends and my relationships with them. My life has taken an unexpected turn but I am still me. ALS is now part of my life but it does not define me. There’s a lot of awesomeness to be had in life. I’m ready now to let others in. To be an advocate, to help others, and to help drive the movement to find a cure”. . Submitted by Rich’s wife, Lauren ❤️ . . .
